Product recommendations can help boost your patients’ hygiene and assist them on their treatment journey while offering exclusive Grin member discounts. The feature allows practices to connect with patients to promote hygiene beyond in-office visits.


They can also benefit you with bonus rewards for yourself and your practice with each purchase. 


How to Send a Recommendation

Recommendations can be found right in the messaging panel of your Doctor Portal.



  1. Sign into your Doctor Portal (providers.get-grin.com) and bring up the desired patient.

  2. Click on the tooth icon underneath the chat box. A popup will appear with a menu on the left side and an assortment of products on the right.

  3. Choose a product category to display different selections. Scroll to the side to see more products.

  4. Once you find the product you’d like to send to your patient, click Select. The product link will populate in the messaging box and you can click on the arrow to send.

Clicking on the circle with an i will open an information box which will give details about each product.

When you recommend a product, the patient will see it pop up as a new message in the app as well as in an email.





Patient Purchase Process

When the patient clicks on a product that you’ve recommended, they are redirected to the Grin + Oral-B store where they will be shown exclusive Grin member pricing for Crest + Oral-B products. They will enter their billing and shipping information, check out, and see a confirmation on the site.



Feature Benefits

Grin partners with P&G to offer trusted, high-quality products for orthodontic patients. By recommending Oral B and Crest products through Grin, practices are able to provide their patients these products  at an exclusive, discounted rate. Products may be added or removed occasionally and the program may be widened to include non-P&G products that do not directly compete with ones already offered.

There are several ways in which product recommendations benefit your practice as well as your patients:

  • No need to store inventory for P&G products in-clinic 

  • Patients are able to purchase unique product bundles that aren’t available in stores, get free shipping, and receive discounts below retail pricing

  • You will earn rewards with each patient purchase

How to Receive Your Recommendation Rewards

Each purchase made from your recommendations will earn points that can then be redeemed:

  • $5 for every total sale made under $100

  • $20 for every total sale made over $100

Redemptions can be made at $20 increments and you will be notified via email when your first recommendation sale is completed and again when you've reached $20 in rewards. You’ll receive a monthly reminder of your rewards balance after reaching $20. We’ll also let you know when your additional recommendations turn into sales.

When you’re ready to redeem your rewards, you can respond to the notification email specifying how you’d like to receive your points: an eGift Card or a donation to America’s Tooth Fairy which provides oral health access to underserved children in the U.S.

Once you respond, you’ll receive an email confirmation that your redemption has been received and processed. If you don’t respond, your rewards will still accrue and be held for the rest of the calendar year.
