Saved replies are a feature in chat that can help reduce time spent answering common questions, relaying information about your practice, and reminding patients about routine care. You can choose an existing Grin template or create your own custom saved reply.
Accessing Saved Replies
Navigate to your Doctor Portal at providers.get-grin.com and click on the dropdown arrow next to your name. Then, choose Account Settings and click on Saved Replies in the menu on the left.
From here you can:
Search replies
Edit or delete existing replies
Create a new reply
You will see a list of replies, organized by folders. One contains default Grin templates and the other contains custom saved replies created by the user.
Creating and Sharing a Custom Saved Reply
You can create custom templates for saved replies which can be used in messages to any patient. If there’s information that you would like to relay to multiple patients, you can create a custom reply to save you the time of typing out the same message repeatedly.
Navigate to your saved replies.
Click on the Create New button at the bottom of the saved replies list.
Compose your custom message in the Create New Template dialog box.
Click on Save.
To share a saved reply that you’ve created, click on the yellow checkbox. This will make it available for the practice to use.
Saved replies created by the account owner are always shared with the practice.
Using a Saved Reply in Chat
To use a saved reply (either one that you’ve created or one of the existing Grin templates) simply click on the bookmark icon at the bottom of the chat box. This will bring up a list of saved replies. Click on the one you want to use and hit the send button.

Editing or Deleting a Saved Reply
To delete a reply, click on the three dots icon underneath the title of the custom saved reply. From there you can delete or duplicate the message.
To edit a reply, choose it from the list and make your changes in the text box or title field.
You can also make edits to a saved reply prior to sending the message in the chat. Once you choose a reply, you can add, remove, or change any part of the text just like a regular message.
