The Doctor Dashboard is an information center that provides detailed and digestible insights into how your patients and practice are utilizing Grin. It breaks down aspects of patient use, scan activity, communication, and reports into data points you can then use to grow and manage your partnership with Grin.
These are just a few highlights of how the Doctor Dashboard acts as a helpful data tool. If you’re interested in creating even more efficiency in your practice, don’t hesitate to contact our Customer Success Team. They will be happy to help with strategy, goal setting, and a further understanding of how you can use reporting.
For a detailed description of the data included in the Doctor Dashboard, see the Doctor Dashboard Overview article.
Useful Metrics
There are various useful metrics shown in the dashboard that can be used to gauge the progress and success of Grin patients at your practice. You can use these metrics proactively to tailor your Grin offering for your specific needs.
Example:
Antonio works with younger patients that can sometimes miss their scheduled scans. He logs into the dashboard and can easily see how many patients are overdue for a scan. Even though he knows the Grin app will remind patients to scan when they’re late, he can take the list of overdue patients and reach out proactively to keep them on plan. He can also see if any patients need additional education on the importance of sticking to a schedule.
Example:
Dr. Nash uses Remote Consultation to expand his practice and attract new patients. When he looks at his dashboard, he can see his total leads, virtual consults, and downloads. Using this information, he tracks how many patients drive to Grin from his website and how many complete a virtual consultation to give him a better idea of his patient conversion rate.
Identifying Opportunities
You will be able to parse specific metrics like how long it takes your patients on average to download the app, how long it takes them to take their first scan, and how they are communicating. Utilizing data like the time it takes patients to download and register or how long it takes to take their first scan can help you create efficiency in the office. You can also use the Doctor Dashboard to identify opportunities for training and coaching your patients through their Grin onboarding and ongoing treatment.
Example:
Dr. Garcia notices that there’s a delay between when she sends the invitations for Grin and when patients download the app, register, and take their first scan. She also has a few patients whose scans aren’t as clear as they should be. Using this information, she decides to start onboarding patients in person instead, showing them how to use the scope and taking the first scan during an appointment. This reduces the time to a first scan and she is able to show her patients how to scan in person which improves quality. She can also answer her patients’ questions before they go home with the scope to scan on their own.
Example:
Anna has several patients that aren’t quite ready for orthodontic treatment yet. She knows that Remote Monitoring saves them the trip to her practice every few months for evaluation but she’d like to track their progress a little more closely. She tags those patients as observation and monitors them in the Patient Status Distribution panel as well as the Reporting tab to make sure they’re converting to treatment whenever they’re ready.
Using Reporting
The list of patients in the reporting tab can be sorted by any header to quickly organize and find your patients using the desired criteria.
Example:
Carlos has been tasked with evaluating the ROI of traditional braces patients at his practice. He’d like to separate patients by appliance to enter them into an Excel spreadsheet. He goes into the reporting tab in his team member account and filters patients by treatment type to find all of the traditional braces patients. He then saves the .csv file and exports it into Excel to make his evaluation easier.
Example:
Dr. Blackwell notices a high number of patient status tagged as “undefined.” He knows that most of his patients are aligner patients so he can log into his doctor account, navigate to the dashboard reporting tab and sort by treatment type to find patients tagged as undefined. He can then go in and update their status to ensure that his records stay accurate and up to date.
Example:
Marie wants to send an email about an upcoming Mother’s Day promotion where her practice is offering free Grin scopes to family and friends of existing Grin patients. She can download the patient list from the reporting tab in her dashboard as a .csv file. She then imports it into her marketing software and sends an email blast to her existing Grin patients.
